Champion 37 Ton Log Splitter
This year with the partnership of B&B Brush Services, South Coast Garden Starters co-purchased a 37 ton Champion Log Splitter. It will be a tremendous help to our businesses as we work together to sell firewood that has been split. So far we have sold some firewood and have put it to the test. It is fantastic on wood that is tough to split due to nots and goes through like butter. We can sell split firewood, rounds or logs depending on what you desire. Soon, we will make the splitter available for rent. Feel free to ask us about the price if you are interested. Check out the videos of it in use and a few still pictures.

Firewood Delivery
This year South Coast Garden Starter LLC along with B&B Brush Services has started to deliver logs for firewood, rounds and split firewood. We have multiple trailers and trucks available to make the deliveries. We can also cut, split and stack on site for an additional charge over our base prices. Currently a full truck and trailer of logs will be $300 for somewhere between 2 and 3 cords. Rounds will be slightly more expensive in comparison and will be transported on a different trailer than logs so will be in smaller quantities around a cord will be able to fit on the trailer with also having the ability to load a truck with rounds approximately $150 per cord. For now, split firewood will vary based on how small you need it. We hope you take advantage of our new service to be part of your plan to keep warm this winter.

Site Preparation – Bandon, OR – Sept, 2020
This year South Coast Garden Starters and B& B Brush Services led by Ben Hytrek prepped some land for a possible septic and living site. Prior to beginning, the land was covered with Huckleberries and with a number of trees and other shrubs. Using brush hogs and a chipper along with chainsaws and other tools, we made a wide clearing that pleased the client. It took us part of 3 days. We worked with Coos Fire Patrol to make sure we were only using equipment when it was safe to do so. We were prepared with fire equipment should anything go wrong. Fortunately, the work went smoothly and the local Ace Hardware and the Gas station provided what we lacked. Ray’s Sentry was a great place to buy breakfast and drinks to keep us hydrated. It was my first job through home advisor and gave me a good first experience.
